Local Bartenders Invited To Learn All About Caribbean Rum At July 7/8 Lunches

rum

Dig rum? There are free classes on the horizon for people in the industry. There’s room for 20-25 bartenders to take in training sessions (4 hours) during the day on Tuesday, July 7th and Wednesday, July 8th. Details via Dani Tatarin, manager at The Keefer Bar:

This is a free class for people in the industry. Over several hours you will taste nearly 20 rums * (hopefully – depends on availability) from all over the Caribbean, and learn about the history and production of authentic Caribbean Rum. Lunch will be provided, and anyone completing certification will be eligible for a trip to the region. Not a bad way to spend your afternoon!

The West Indies Rum & Spirits Producers’ Association Inc (WIRSPA) cordially invite you to the first training session for bartenders and industry professionals in Vancouver.

Danielle Tatarin will deliver the first session of the official Authentic Caribbean Rum Certification Program which includes the possibility of a week’s training with rum producers in the Caribbean. Neil Morris, Global Ambassador for the Authentic Caribbean Rum Marque will also be in attendance.

Hit East Van for the 2nd Annual Vancouver Brewers Fest, April 19-28th

Since a single person (and liver) can only handle so many beers and beer-drinking celebrations, some prioritizing is in order. Topping off our list of events is the imminent (and, in our opinion, non-negotiable) Vancouver Brewers Fest.
