The GOODS from The Acorn
Vancouver, BC | Thursday, April 23rd will mark the first stage of the new Spring Menu at The Acorn. To welcome the warmer weather we’re featuring some new additions that use the freshest ingredients the season has to offer. Our delicate nasturtium soup, for example, features a spring vegetable velouté, fiddleheads, English peas, pickled pearl onions, fine herbs, and saffron oil. There’s also a creamy vegan artichoke and cashew spread with a wild leek and pine nut pesto, sherry gel, mountain sweet cicely, and olive salted taro crisps. For those in the mood for something a little more filling, we have our Acorn-foraged stinging nettle gnocchi. Accompanied by carrot caraway puree, rosemary rye crisps, house ricotta, and preserved lemon gel, this appetizer’s rich and salty finish is the perfect lead into any of our new or classic entrees. And for those with a sweet tooth, we’re incredibly excited to present our raw, vegan banoffee, a Maple Pecan Crumble with banana, date caramel, coconut-vanilla cream, Zimt dark chocolate and chrysanthemum sauce.
