Vancouver, BC | East Vancouver’s Parallel 49 Brewing Company has announced the release of their new collaboration mixer pack, featuring 12 beers, each brewed by Parallel 49 Brewing Company in collaboration with 12 different British Columbia breweries. The new beer will be celebrated at an official House of Brews launch party, hosted at St. Augustine’s Craft Brew House and Kitchen at 2360 Commercial Drive in Vancouver, BC on Monday, March 30th, 2015 at 6 PM.

The Brews Brothers launch will provide an opportunity for guests to sample beer from the mixer pack, enjoy music played by a blues cover band, and mingle with local craft beer enthusiasts. The list of participants in this blues inspired collaborative brew set includes Townsite, Steel & Oak, Firehall, Bomber, Persephone, Storm, Rossland, Dageraad, Moon Under Water, Brassneck, Yellow Dog and Powell Street.

“Collaborating with multiple breweries allowed us to take our creativity to the next level and develop a fresh spin on the regular 12-pack,” said Graham With, Head Brewmaster at Parallel 49 Brewing Company. “We really enjoy collaborating, and I feel like launching the Brews Brothers mixer pack with 12 options brings out the best of each brewery.”

Each beer is named after a classic blues song, including “Stormy Monday”, “Little Red Rooster”, and “House of the Rising Sun.” In addition to the House of Brews party in Vancouver, Parallel 49 Brewing Company is also planning a province wide launch on March 31st, where bars across the province will be participating in 12 beer tap takeovers.

Join Parallel 49 Brewing Company and the 12 collaborating BC craft breweries as they celebrate the launch of Brews Brothers.

PRESS & Accolades

WhitneyKrutzfeldtPhotography-Parallel49PrintReadyFiles-39

“The Parallel 49 Brewing Co. opened on Triumph Street a year ago, and has bubbled up as vigorously as the 30 or so weirdly named beers from its six 5,000-litre and eight 10,000-litre tanks. Weird? How about Banana Hammock? Salty Scot? Lost Souls? Hoparazzi? Ugly Sweater? Schadenfreude? The latter word refers to the pleasure in seeing others fail. That certainly wouldn’t apply to Anthony Frustagli, Nick Paladino, Mike Sleeman and Scott Venema, who own the St. Augustine’s restaurant and craft-beer mecca, and Michael Tod and Graham With who joined them to found Parallel 49.” – Malcolm Parry, The Vancouver Sun

“It’s always exciting to see a new craft beer maker pop up in Vancouver; it’s even more exciting to see a brewery push boundaries, take risks and create new and interesting flavour combinations. Expect to see bold choices coming from Parallel 49 in the future.” – Ryan Tessier, Vancity Buzz

“Having an understanding of the science of brewing has almost certainly enabled Parallel 49 to achieve consistency in its product, even with the brewery in a state of near-constant expansion.” – Jan Zeschky, The Province
