The Dalmore Distillery Bringing $139,000 Whisky Quartet To YVR For A Taste

60sBottles

by Andrew Morrison | This emailed invitation (excerpt) from Mark Anthony Brands and The Dalmore distillery made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, just as it would for any whisky lover (or Scot, for that matter). Alas, I have an unbreakable prior commitment on Feb. 17th and won’t be able to slake my curiousity. Perhaps you will?

The Dalmore Constellation Collection – 60s Set, a collection of four of the world’s rarest single malt whiskies, is being introduced in Canada this month. The collection is being sold in its entirety for $139,000 and will be available as of Feb 17 at the British Columbia Liquor Distribution Branch’s (BCLDB) flagship Signature store, located at 39th & Cambie Street.

This is a release whose like is seldom seen in Canada. With single malt whisky an increasingly coveted luxury spirit worldwide, aficionados truly appreciate the quality, extraordinary craftsmanship and limited availability of The Dalmore. The distillery has been ranked among the top 25 global malt brands by International Wine and Spirits Research (IWSR) and named the number one investment grade scotch (IGS) by the independent authority, Whisky Highland.

David Robertson, Global Constellation Collection Brand Ambassador, will be coming to Vancouver to present the whiskies and hold a special event at the Cambie store on Feb 17.

The event runs from 6pm to 8pm. Here’s the official word:

Join us for this exclusive opportunity to learn about and taste a broad range of Dalmore products including The Dalmore King Alexander III. Global brand ambassador David Robertson will lead you through The Dalmore’s rich history in celebration of the Constellation release. Tickets are $50 and are available for purchase at the 39th & Cambie Customer Service desk.
