by Andrew Morrison | Hello, America. This here’s a friend of ours. Name’s Meat & Bread. They make mighty fine sandwiches. Take good care of them. You’re welcome.
Yes, the good folks at Vancouver’s own Meat & Bread are opening a new location this Spring in Seattle’s Capitol Hill (on 10th Ave between Union & Seneca, which is right near the Pike & Pine corridor). It will be big one – 50 seats – with longer opening hours than the three BC originals (ie. they’ll be doing evening service). Craig Stanghetta is reprising his role as the designer. Co-owner Frankie Harrington reports:
The warehouse is quite large with us taking 1/3 of the whole space and John Sundstroms popular Lark that was up on 12th Ave is taking the other side of the warehouse. Joe Sartor and Terry Somerville will be overseeing but we will be looking for a full-time chef.
