IMG_0960

by Grady Mitchell | The Back Gallery Project has co-opted the billboard behind their Strathcona location (602 East Hastings). Right now, it features a colourful image from artist Antonio Eligio Fernandez (aka Tonel). The piece is called A house that I like when tú y yo estamos inside. The billboard is part of Pattison’s Art in Transit program, wherein they lend their ad platforms to local artists. Curator Monica Reyes hopes to continue the billboard project into 2015 with new works. This particular piece will be taken down soon, so be sure to re-route in order to view it.
