Jack | Legend | For 33 years, before selling out to the Aquilini Family in 2014, Jack Evrensel – known to those in the Industry as “Jack” – bestrode Vancouver’s restaurant scene as a micro-managing colossus. He opened some of the most successful and impactful eateries British Columbia has ever had. These included Araxi (Whistler) in 1981, CinCin in 1990, Blue Water Cafe and West in 2000 (just two months apart), and Thierry in 2011. Many of Vancouver’s top bartenders, servers, sommeliers, managers, and chefs honed their skills working for Jack – so many that they’re hard to count.

“Jack” is also the name of an insufferable corporate radio station owned by Rogers Communications.
