Vancouver, BC | We are on the hunt for someone very special to join our team as a part-time salesperson. Please note this post is for a long-term, part-time position, with an immediate start date. We are currently looking for someone with weekend availability and flexibility in the week for a minimum of 2-3 shifts a week. If you’re interested in this opportunity, have the requisite skills and experience, and can commit to a long-term situation, we’d love to meet you to discuss the possibilities. Our requirements are:

– Wednesday & Sunday availability a must.
– at least 2 years of experience in Fashion Retail sales.
– cash handling and POS system experience – a bonus if you have any Lightspeed experience!
– a passion for independent design, home goods, decor, fashion and all things lovely.
– a willingness to constantly learn about products and educate/inform our customers about them.
– an eye for visual display and merchandising.
– being self-directed, pro-active, responsible and detail-oriented.
– strong communication and people skills.
– excellent sales and customer service skills.
– a friendly, approachable demeanour and the ability to nurture long-term relationships with our customers.
– diligence and initiative with daily tasks, merchandising, stock room organization, inventory control and other operational areas.
– the ability to adapt to high volume sales periods.
– a team player who enjoys working in a close-knit environment.
– the ability to grow, learn and change with the business.
– initiative-taker and self-motivated/goal orientated.

About Much & Little

Much&Little opened its doors in October 2011. It grew from a desire to create a personal shopping experience that offers timeless, beautiful, well-made goods for everyday use. Each item has been hand picked not just for aesthetics and function, but also for the story behind it that creates lasting value. Where was it made, how and by whom? As much as possible, we seek out products that have been created with love and care, with attention to detail and craft.

Though the shop is modest in size, the selection is wide and encompasses everything from housewares, to personal accessories, to women’s clothing. Our goods come from all over – including local, independent designers, heritage brands and fair trade artisans.

For you, we hope this translates into something of value. Where items are of heirloom quality and timeless appeal. Where a seemingly humble object will be something you love to pick up and use each day, and the patina of use just makes it better.
