The GOODS from The Biltmore Cabaret

Vancouver, BC | In January of 2008, New York theatre professionals Burgundy Brixx and The Purrfessor brought Vancouver audiences a west-coast edition of their much loved long-running New York City Burlesque show. On January 19th, 2014, Kitty Knights celebrates the bust-out success of an unprecedented six sexy years of their award-winning weekly show at the Biltmore Cabaret! Kitty Nights’ 6th Anniversary Soiree will be a celebration of all the sparkling facets of Vancouver’s critically acclaimed burlesque arts community. Performers from Sweet Soul Burlesque, Pandora And The Locksmiths, The Screaming Chicken Theatrical Society, and the new Lost Girls Burlesque will all share the Kitty Nights’ spotlight that evening. Burlesque as we know it found its initial success around the turn of the 20th century in New York’s lower east side (mere blocks from Kitty Knights’ original New York location) as lighthearted, affordable, working-class entertainment. The art form has grown drastically to encompass modern performance art, dramatic commentary, glamorous opulence and saucy social satire. In these difficult economic times, Kitty Nights continues its dedication to the burlesque mission to provide fun live entertainment for all by offering a low general admission ticket price while continuing to maintain a show with high quality standards, and a great audience experience. It’s always “The most fun you can have on a Sunday Night!” (Yelp).
