Vancouver, BC | Christmas is a busy travel season and, with friends and family coming and going from of the City throughout the holidays, it’s often difficult to get together for a traditional celebration. Dockside Restaurant at the Granville Island Hotel is making it easy to celebrate in traditional style this year, no matter what your travel schedule, by offering turkey at both lunch and dinner each day from December 14th to December 24th.

Executive Chef Simon McNeil and the Dockside kitchen team will be preparing a seasonal turkey sandwich during lunch service and a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings to be served up every evening. With the Vancouver Carol Ships passing by the restaurant throughout the holiday season, there’s no better way to celebrate with friends and family before they scatter for the holidays.

Dockside’s “Twelve Days of Turkey” reaches its peak on Christmas Day with the Festive Traditions Brunch and Dinner Buffets. These are some of Vancouver’s best-loved holiday traditions and the spectacular feasts give families and groups the opportunity to gather around a delicious traditional meal without any of the usual cooking and cleaning.

Both buffets will offer a dizzying selection of choices, including fresh baked goods, fresh salads, tempting desserts and traditional Christmas Turkey and Ham from the carvery station. The Christmas Brunch buffet menu also includes classics like an omelette station, Belgian Waffle station and with all the sausage, bacon and cheesy eggs to satisfy any breakfast lover. About Dockside

The Dockside Restaurant offers superbly prepared classic dishes in a setting like no other. Located on the waterfront where Granville Island faces the city, guests can enjoy panoramic views across False Creek to the world-famous cityscape of Yaletown and beyond to the mountains of the North Shore.

The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails. The award-winning patio catches sunlight from morning to late afternoon. Protected on three sides it’s an oasis of calm, disturbed only by the occasional sound of boats making their way along False Creek. Recent renovations have added fireplaces and casual seating areas to this Vancouver destination.

These three venues offer seating options that are perfect for groups from 4 to 200. With signature elements like a 50-foot aquarium and an open kitchen, each meal is an experience for all the senses. Located adjacent to the boutique Granville Island Hotel, the Dockside Restaurant is open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended.

Reviews

“This is our very favorite place. We drive into town from Delta and make an evening of browsing through Granville Isl. Market. The restaurnat is perfect for a quiet evening.View is wonderful. I appreciate the spacious arrangement of the tables. We have our favorite table, the staff and service is fabulous. I had the herb crusted Halibut – it was delicious and my husband enjoyed the slate fish. It was a memorable evening. We look forward to another visist very soon. As well, we have enjoyed the great patio – has to be one of Vancouver’s best.” OpenTable.com

“We have going to Vancouver for many years and most recently (if twenty years can be considered recently) staying exclusively at the wonderful Graville Island Hotel. Because we have an aversion to hotel restaurants, this is the first time we have had dinner there. It was one of the finest dinners we have in a city that is known for its fine restaurants. Outstanding in every way!” OpenTable.com

“We enjoyed the welcoming feel of the restaurant – appropriate lighting, comfortable seating – it is like a comfortable dining room. We will return again as the restaurant has once again met our expectations. The salmon was nicely prepared and the lamb was well presented and excellent on the tongue. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.” OpenTable.com
