The GOODS from Milano Coffee

Vancouver, BC | The holiday season is officially underway in Vancouver and with it comes the task of checking off the shopping list with great gifts for friends, family, coworkers, and all those in between. While it may seem like a daunting chore, locals are in luck this season with Milano Coffee’s sublime stocking stuffers and espresso pick-me-ups to revive tired holiday shoppers.

Ideal for even the fussiest on the list is the jovial Jingle Bell Blend. With seven ultra premium single varietals, its rich, warm bergamot flavour has juicy strawberry and vanilla notes to make this medium roast a fitting blend for Christmas morning. The Jingle Bell Blend is available in 340 gram bags at $17.50. Pick up the Jingle Bell Blend for stocking stuffers, teachers gifts, and have a couple of extra bags on hand just in case.

The perfect companion to Milano’s Jingle Bell Blend, or any super premium roast on the run, Milano Coffee travel mugs come in red, white, brown and green. Priced at $19.95, these travel mugs are even better with a Milano Coffee gift certificate tucked inside; available in any denomination.

Whether they’re lounging in Gastown, checking out Commercial Drive or exploring the streets of Downtown Vancouver, Milano Coffee is happy to provide shoppers with thoughtful gift ideas followed by a well-deserved break from the hustle, bustle and stress of holiday shopping!

Plus, with three locations around Vancouver to drink in the holiday spirit, Gastown, West 8th Avenue and Denman Street, Milano Coffee is the perfect place for a shopping pick-me-up.

For those coming in off the frosty city streets, the Holiday Truffle Shot is an absolute must-try. Proving that good things really do come in small packages, this perfectly pulled shot of award winning La Futura espresso is combined with Milano’s secret recipe of Liquid Gold and cream. It is a slightly sweet, rich and creamy way to experience Milano’s artfully blended La Futura espresso, which is noted to be complex with luscious body, cocoa aromas, vanilla and floral notes. La Futura’s lingering toffee taste won over some of the world’s most discerning coffee palates making the Holiday Truffle Shot the ultimate December shopping treat! Available from December 1 to 31 for $3.30 at all Milano Coffee locations.

And for a limited time only, Milano Coffee is offering the Nutella Stove Top. The original, developed by Milano’s Master Roaster, Brian Turko, in 1995, has been redecorated for the holidays with the addition of Belgian chocolate and hazelnut syrup. It is rich, smooth and perfectly embodies the comfort of the holiday season. Prices are $3.65 for a 10 oz and $4.00 for a 16 oz cup.

ABOUT MILANO COFFEE

131-Milano--coffee-extend

The Milano taste was developed from a century of artisanship in the Italian coffee tradition. This distinguished taste comes from the skill of the torrefazzioni – a secret method roasting and blending, closely guarded, personally taught, and handed down generation to generation.

With west coast roots and Italian soul, Brian and Linda Turko, the founders of Milano Coffee, have been making days a little better by sharing their passion for artisan coffee and espresso in Vancouver for over three decades. A master roaster, trained in the Torrefazzioni method, Brian’s La Futura espresso won international recognition with a gold medal at Italy’s fourth annual International Coffee Tasting Competition in 2013.

Brian and Linda, also innovated when they introduced Vancouver’s first espresso tasting bar at their West 8thcafé in 2008. At Milano’s stylish espresso lounge in Gastown (which opened in 2011), guests may sample eight different espresso blends – on tap, everyday. The finest espresso machines in the world help make it happen: The M39 La Cimbali Thermo Drive and Victoria Arduino’s ‘Adonis’. This technology combined with Milano’s barista talent, and distinctive espresso taste creates an espresso experience 100 years in the making.

With three espresso lounges in Vancouver, guests can discover the artistry of Milano’s world-class espresso right at home.
