The GOODS from CinCin

Vancouver, BC | The critically acclaimed San Felice + Viticcio wineries are set to pair up with Chef Andrew Richardson’s Contemporary Italian Cuisine on November 11th and 14th respectively. We are particularly pleased to introduce these two wonderful wineries that exemplify modern Italian winemaking techniques, but are based in historic vineyards. This is also a special opportunity to introduce Shane Taylor, CinCin’s new Wine Director. Shane recently qualified as an Advanced Sommelier from the London-based Court of Master Sommeliers, one of the wine world’s most senior and prestigious accreditations. He is delighted to present these two wine dinners. Get all of the details after the jump…

Agricola San Felice has seen wine production for several centuries, and was one of the founding estates of the consortium of Chianti Classico. The estate expanded its reach in 1984 by purchasing the critically acclaimed Campogiovanni vineyard in Montalcino, where San Felice now produces exemplary Brunellos.

Viticcio Winery Dinner

Where: CinCin Ristorante, 1154 Robson Street, Vancouver
Special Guest: Principal Beatrice Landini
Cost: $160 (includes reception, 5 courses, wine pairings, tax and gratuity).
Reservations: Please email Richard Luxton richard [at] cincin.net or call 604 688 7338

CinCin Executive Chef Andrew Richardson will prepare another delicious five course tasting menu to celebrate the arrival of Beatrice Landini as she commentates on her family’s remarkable wines. Viticcio has seen four wines placed in the Wine Spectator ‘Top 100’, and nine wines receive ‘Five Star’ reviews from Decanter magazine.

The Landini family took ownership of this picturesque estate – located near the town of Greve in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, about a half hour south of Florence – in the early 1960s. The founder, Lucio Landini, was an engineer and also a man deeply attached to Tuscan tradition, the Chianti soil and its products. The winery is now operated by succeeding generations of the Landini family, spearheaded by Alessandro and his wife Nicoletta, and their daughter Beatrice.

Chef Richardson’s five-course tasting menu will be accompanied by these exquisite wines:

Viticcio Bere Toscana Rosso 2011
Viticcio Chianti Classico 2010
I Greppi Greppicante 2008
Viticcio Chianti Classico Riserva 2008
I Greppi Bolgheri Superiore 2009
