The GOODS from Quail’s Gate Winery

West Kelowna, BC | The successful candidate will assume the support position and run the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Sous Chef and Winery Chef, with a specific focus on evening service. They will supervise the daily activity of the kitchen and participate in menu planning and development, while ensuring our team maintains the excellent standards of quality, cost, and reputation so well earned by Old Vines Restaurant. Applicants should have successfully completed a formal culinary training program and have Food Safe Level 2 certification (Inter-Provincial Red Seal an asset). Applicants must have 2+ years’ experience in a similar leadership role, preferably in a fastpaced, fine dining establishment and demonstrate excellent saucier skills and complete understanding of meat and fish butchery. Applicants must have significant leadership experience to effectively be able to step into this role and maintain seamless service. As business levels fluctuate throughout the year, applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule. An all season culinary destination, Old Vines Restaurant & Wine Bar is an exceptional vineyard side location on the slopes of the Boucherie Mountain Bench. Guests are warmly welcomed in our must visit West Kelowna site with expansive and picturesque southern views of Lake Okanagan.

Chef Roger Sleiman offers menus with ingredients sourced from surrounding fields and pastures, our kitchen garden and regional British Columbia farms all paired perfectly with our Estate Wines.
