The GOODS from CinCin
Vancouver, BC | On Thursday, October 24th, CinCin will host one of the most exclusive wine dinners to be convened in Vancouver in recent years. Wine Director Shane Taylor is delighted to announce a special evening with Montalcino’s esteemed Il Palazzone Winery, and its highly-regarded proprietor, Richard Parsons. A prominent New Yorker, Mr. Parsons is the former Chairman of Citigroup and Chairman and CEO of Time Warner. He affirmed his lifelong passion for wine when he purchased Il Palazzone in 2000.
The evening will feature an extraordinary selection of four vintages of Il Palazzone Brunello di Montalcino Riserva wines, from the 2006, 2004, 2001 and 1999 vintages. Each of these wines has consistently attracted scores of 92 points or higher from Robert Parker and Wine Spectator. Ms. Mandy Presser, Vice President of US Sales and Marketing for Il Palazzone, will be introducing the wines.
The evening will begin with critically acclaimed Adami single vineyard Prosecco and finish with the elegant Il Palazzone Grappa. Each wine selection will be paired with Executive Chef Andrew Richardson’s contemporary Italian cuisine. And for this special menu, Chef Andrew will be using Il Palazzone’s limited release Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
One half of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to Stand Tall Education Network, a project of Rose Charities, which assists children’s education in Uganda. Throughout the evening a few select Il Palazzone wines will be available for silent auction. Get all the details after the jump…
