On Missing Porno Flicks And The Facade Of “Diner en Blanc”

foxfront21

by Sean Orr | York kidding me: Wrongful evictions claims disputed by landlord of Downtown Eastside building. Stephen Lippman might be a slimeball, but the protesters giving the finger to Geoffrey “cool as a cucumber” Howes are ever slimier.

Buck slice: False Creek residents shocked when ‘low’ assessment of $400,000 reduced to $1 on chunk of Expo lands. They shouldn’t be. Isn’t that where they put all the PCBs?

Shouldn’t we be getting more electoral districts, not less? NDP loses appeal over merger of North Burnaby, North Vancouver into single federal riding. “The Commission is not insensible to the dissatisfaction of a number of MPs and constituents with portions of the North Vancouver and Burnaby-Douglas districts being joined in a newly configured district”. Huh?

Vancouver Facadism: Le Dîner en Blanc Vancouver should be seen as a sign of the times. “Herein lies the real issue: the people who attend Diner en Blanc create an impressive facade — a Potemkin village, if I may say so — that hides the truth for most people of their age.” And here I thought the whole thing was an advertisement for Tide.

Vegetative state: Cops go beyond the kale of duty. I thought you were supposed to keep the pigs out of your garden? Too easy…

Missing: Have you seen our porn? I hope this has a happy ending…

Am I alone in thinking this next headline is hilarious? Expect road chaos in Vancouver through the fall with construction all over the place. That sounds like something DJ 3000 would come up with.

Relax, he’s Native: I Admit It: I Hold Racist Views About Native People In Canada.

Meanwhile, McDonalds denies racism. In other news, McDonalds will develop new mind-reading technology so you don’t even have to place your order with your voice.

  1. Le Dîner en Blanc would be more interesting if it ended in a “La Tomatina” tomato fight at the end.

  2. We ARE getting more electoral ridings. But to make room for the new one on the North Shore and keep populations even, they had to add a bit of Burnaby to it.
