(VANCOUVER, BC) | Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts (PICA) congratulates Julian Bond, Executive Chef, Program Director & Vice President on his induction into the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame under the ‘Industry Award’ category. Chef Julian will join 10 other equally talented and notable inductees honoured in five separate categories at the September 30th BC Restaurant Hall of Fame Awards Ceremony.

Over the span of Chef Bond’s 25 years in the Food and Hospitality industry, both internationally and locally, Chef Bond has been endlessly contributing as a professional, as an educator, as a mentor, as a founding member and most importantly as a leader. All of these qualities embrace BC Restaurant Hall of Fame’s mandate for the Industry Award category – “All nominees must have attained a high level of excellence and brought honour to British Columbia hospitality industry through ongoing dedication to the development of the hospitality industry in British Columbia”. Further stating, “The candidate must exemplify good character and dedication, and provide inspiration to present and future generations”.

On word of Chef Bond’s induction President and Founder of PICA, Sue Singer adds, ‘All qualities for the Industry Award category have certainly been met, then exceeded both professionally and personally”. Singer goes on to say, ‘Working with Julian Bond for the past 7 years, has been a true pleasure. This Industry Award is most deserving for Julian and I am personally thrilled that he has been recognized for his accomplishments.”
