Salish Sea | geography | The Salish Sea is the recently defined body of water separating Vancouver Island from the mainland of British Columbia. It is named after the Indigenous peoples who have inhabited this territory for thousands of years. It encompasses Puget Sound, the Juan de Fuca Strait and the Strait of Georgia.
