Cut & Cover

Cut and Cover | Activity | Cut & Cover entered Vancouver’s collective consciousness and vocabulary during the lead-up to the 2010 Olympics when it was used as a method for building the Canada Line subway. It was a massive and severely damaging disruption to the community and culture of Cambie Village.

Usage | “I hear they want to put a subway down Broadway to UBC. I wonder if it’ll be cut and cover.”explore-the-lexicon
