GOODS: Former “Ensemble Tap” Chef Brad Hendrickson Joins The Lazy Gourmet Team

Vancouver, BC | The Lazy Gourmet, one of Vancouver’s long-standing catering and event companies, is pleased to announce that chef Brad Hendrickson has joined its kitchen team as executive sous chef this month. His stellar culinary background will allow him to be creative with ingredients for many of The Lazy Gourmet’s menus and dishes for parties as small as 10 and as large as 3,000. Hendrickson was most recently the executive chef at Dale MacKay’s Ensemble Tap, and restaurant chef at Ensemble. He previously sharpened his knives at Lumiere, New York’s Gilt, and Daniel Boulud’s celebrated Daniel restaurant. “We are thrilled to welcome Brad to The Lazy Gourmet family,” says Kevin Mazzone, General Manager of The Lazy Gourmet. “Brad is a dedicated, talented, and hardworking chef with a host of ideas to further elevate the level of our dishes. His cooking style really brings out the flavours of any ingredient. He is a great addition to the team and is working well with executive chef Jenny Hui.”
The passion for cooking truly runs in the family for Hendrickson. It all started years ago while camping with his family, his grandfather would prepare simple meals on a dutch oven for everyone. Hendrickson thoroughly enjoyed the joy food brought his family, and decided he wanted to give it a try.
The Lazy Gourmet currently still offers its Fall/Winter menu, but will release its Spring/Summer barbeque menu in the coming months. Watch for new additions from Hendrickson and Hui in March. For more information, please visit www.lazygourmet.ca.
