CANUCKERY: NHL Lockout Ending After 113 Days (And There Was Much Rejoicing)

January 6, 2013

All the sleepless lab rats at TSN and Sportsnet are reporting that the NHL and the NHLPA have finally reached a tentative agreement to end the lockout. Dare we say woot?

And it was quite the saga. Even Hitler got involved at one point, so thank goodness cooler heads prevailed. Expect a short season, probably from 48 to 52 games starting January 15th (and Roberto Luongo heading to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for some peameal bacon and the fancier tiles of Rosedale’s subway station). It’s time to suit up. Coconuts go.
