The Winterluxe line of hats, scarves and gloves (softer than you can imagine and totally affordable – for cashmere) are handmade from up-cycled vintage cashmere sweaters salvaged from thrift stores across Vancouver. Local designer Janna Hurtzig will open her DTES studio for the Eastside Culture Crawl next weekend and we recommend swooping in to stock up on soft warm things to keep you comfortable as winter creeps in. Also available are berets, scarves, unravelled cowl, hot water bottle covers, gloves and mittens.
