Vancouver, BC | The East Van Wine Academy and the Waldorf Hotel are excited to present “Blending Bootcamp: Laughing Stock Vineyards”, co-hosted by Laughing Stock Vineyards’ owner and winemaker David Enns, this Wednesday, August 15th. They say Syrah’s one of the most suitable grapes for the Okanagan, particularly if its aromatics are lifted by a small splash of Viognier. Commonly known as a Côte-Rôtie blend, after the blend’s natural home in France’s Rhône Valley, the Syrah (or Shiraz)-Viognier blend is a worldwide success, gaining popularity through Australian versions and more.

Join Laughing Stock Vineyards’ winemaker David Enns as we tour and sample some of the globe’s more notable Côte-Rôtie blends from France, Australia, Chile and BC (including Laughing Stock’s recent BC Lieutenant Governor Award-winning version ) Afterwards, enjoy the opportunity to build your own blend with tank and barrel samples David’s bringing along, and see how yours stacks up!
