The GOODS from House Wine

Vancouver, BC | What’s in a region? For starters, each has different soils, climates, temperatures and altitudes. All of these things affect what grapes grow best there and the overall wine ‘style’ that is produced. Wines from a specific region have a sense of place that you can taste; they tell a story of origin. At Regional Crush, Wine Australia and house wine will take you on a tour of the regions of Australia to discover each of these ‘places’. Find the minty-ness in Coonawarra’s Cabernets, discover the lime in Eden and Clare Valley Rieslings, uncover the new style of Chardonnay emerging across the country and see if you can pick the regions in our blind Shiraz Challenge at the South Australia Tourism focus table. The event will feature 100 wines from 35 producers. Details after the jump…

We will be joined by winery principals, including Bill Hardy (Hardys), and Ian Hollick (Hollick Wines), Edwina Mitchell (Mitchell Wines), Alice Hemming (Shingleback), Julian Forwood (Wirra Wirra), Liz Mencel (Stella Bella) and Scott Washington (Negociants-Yalumba).
