The GOODS from CedarCreek Estate Winery

Vancouver, BC | Join Winemaker Darryl Brooker and President Gordon Fitzpatrick at the release of CedarCreek’s 2011 vintage on Tuesday, April 17th at 7pm. Enjoy six of CedarCreek’s new released aromatic white wines including our popular Rosé paired with artisanal cheeses, local charcuterie and condiments at Salt Tasting Room. Right from the favourite Ehrenfelser to the double Gold Medal winning Riesling, our white aromatics were a great success in 2010 and we can’t wait to unveil the 2011 vintage. These wines are a taste of Spring, and winemaker Darryl Brooker is pleased to share why. And for all those of you who would like to know more, come prepared as the makers themselves are going to be available to answer questions on everything you’ve ever wanted to know about wine. About CedarCreek Estate Winery

CCW_three_bottles_2_1

CedarCreek celebrates 25 years this year! Purchased in 1986, CedarCreek released its first wines in 1987 and was one of the first 7 pioneering wineries of the Okanagan Valley. For 25 years now we have pursued perfection and produced some of the valley’s best wines resulting in CedarCreek being twice recognized as “Canada’s Winery of the Year”. Today, we look proudly towards the future to further promote our region.

At CedarCreek the hybrid grapes gave way to new plantings of vinifera vines, the small basement cellar was transformed into state of the art winemaking facilities and the very best in viticulture was applied.  This pioneering was tempered by patience and perseverance which became Senator Ross Fitzpatrick’s mantra. These ideals matured into CedarCreek’s philosophy:  “Respect the land, honour tradition, pursue perfection.”

Today under his son Gordon’s leadership, CedarCreek has raised the bar. Our family’s knowledge of the terrior of the Okanagan and dedication to the craft have brought many awards and international acclaim, including twice being named Canada’s Winery of the Year. We are committed to building on our success by continuing to refine our approach to wine growing. Passion, tenacity, care and hard work are vital but above all we seek truth in wine. And the results show in every bottle. On that, you have our word.
