The GOODS from Salt Tasting Room

Vancouver, BC | On February 20th, get ready to experience a night of enchantment, mystery, excitement, and wonder as magician, Travis Bernhardt, takes you into a world wrought with illusion. This is a triply special night because not only will you be treated to some true prestidigitation, but you will also get to watch the magic of love unfold while sampling the magic of delicious food!

Heather and Sean, our 2 protagonists, have now been dating for about a year. Since their epic reunion in Episode 1, they have had many adventures on their path to love. And now…they are ready to take that next step! Witness this pivotal moment in both their lives. Join In the House and the Salt Tasting Room for Episode 2 in this quest for true love. It’s interactive dinner/theatre like you’ve never seen. Love and longing, food and festivities, tastebuds and theatre, laughter and loopiness all come together in an interactive, magical evening you’ll never forget. Details after the jump…

The menu for Episode 2 is inspired by sayings that use food to express one’s admiration for a loved one. Also beware! Puns and wordplay may crash this party!

Here’s what people had to say about the 1st episode:

“For a 4 part dinner with live theatre that almost seems to border on improv, it’s a steal at $65 in my opinion. They work well individually, but like any television series, it’s like a drug and you just have to watch the next episode to find out what happens…. I’ll be there, laughing, enjoying good food and company and culture!” – Kevin Wu, 604Foodtography

“[Fourplay is] a piece of live theater that’s playful, inventive, entertaining and, by degrees, genuinely touching…. It’s a wonderfully informal atmosphere and the audience are soon comfortable intervening in the tribulations and squabbles of the cast without needing any prompting – the issues the pair bring up clearly touch nerves on both sides of the never-ending battle of the sexes.” – Alan O’Doherty, VancityBuzz

“This was actually the first dinner/ theatre experience that I have ever been to, and I have to say I was very glad this one was the first…. This was definitely one of the most interesting dining experiences I’ve had, and I’m really looking forward to the next three! … Lots of laughs and happiness. Better than going to a dinner and a movie, any day.” – Janice Leung, goodeat.ca

“The show last night was sold out and fantastic. Well done!” – Scott Hawthorn, co-owner of Salt Tasting Room

Salt is a tasting room specializing in artisanal cheese, small-batch cured meats, and a dynamic array of wines, beers and Sherries. Our menu is simple. Guests assemble a Tasting Plate from our chalkboard’s selection of 10 cheeses, 10 meats, and 10 condiments. The selections change constantly, making it almost impossible to have the same Salt experience twice.
