Smoke Break #858: Greenpeace Brilliantly Spins Star Wars Themed Ad Against VW

Greenpeace did a nice job of spinning this original VW ad that went viral using our affections for Star Wars for their own “that’s so cute” marketing ends (over 40 million views on YouTube).

We could only love it more if Obi-Wan waved his hand at the camera and said, “These are not the Passats you are looking for” or if they re-dubbed Admiral Ackbar to have him exclaiming “It’s a crap!”
