“Mini Maker Faire” Aims To Get Vancouver’s Creative Spirits Collaborating This Weekend

Mini Maker Faire comes to Vancouver this weekend. The two day event features a range of creative exhibits, including workshops, performances, displays and a speaker series, and is being held at the Great Northern Way Campus (just off of Main @ 2nd). Expect everything from pyrotechnics and kinetic sculptures to growing walls and book making. They say “it’s county fair meets science fair meets farmers market meets burning man for families.” Sold. This should prove to be one of the most inspiring events to come Vancouver’s way this summer, and we’re stoked it’s coming our way. We particularly love the sound of the “interaction booths”. These are set up to teach fair goers how to negotiate certain tasks, like how to complete a circuit, spin wool, smoke bacon or handle a soldering iron. How rad is that? Bring your collaborative spirit, creative questions, projects, ideas and inspiration.
