Vancouver, BC | The Smiling Strangers in association with ChalkXcChange will be hosting an “Open Screening” for local documentary filmmakers to show their work and share their experience. This can be “work in progress” or recently completed films. The selected documentaries will be shown at ChalkXChange this coming summer as part of our Summer Film Series. We encourage the selected filmmakers to come in person to present their film. To submit, mail your entry to ChalkXChange by May 1st, or send us a link to your website at [email protected]. ChalkXChange is a neighbourhood creative commons. Like a favourite corner store, we’re nearby and sometimes serve pie. Rather than groceries, we stock ideas, stories and activities. Getting together as neighbors is the foundation for creative neighbourhoods, and in turn, creative cities. At ChalkXChange, we draw on our collective creative arts and invite the public to participate in events, workshops and projects.
