Diner: New York Chef David Chang To Open Two Momofuku Restaurants In Canada

And neither of them are in Vancouver.

A spokesperson for Momofuku emailed The Globe and Mail Friday night to confirm that Momofuku is set to open not just one restaurant in Toronto, but two: a Noodle Bar and a second one called Momofuku Daisho. The restaurants will be in a building next to the Shangri-La Hotel, and the projected opening date is 2012.

I know I should be happy for Toronto and all, but…fuck.

Their careers meant that most of my early years were spent in kitchens and dining rooms instead of on playgrounds and soccer fields; consequently, I learned my table manners before I could count past one hundred.
