Vancouver, BC | Red Card is poised to kick off 2011 as part of Dine Out Vancouver, the city’s annual celebration of food and wine. From January 24 through February 6, guests are invited to sample a three-course, prix-fixe menu while soaking in the atmosphere of this stylish downtown eatery. Making its Dine Out Vancouver debut, Red Card is putting a unique spin on food and drink pairings by offering beer pairings with each of its three courses. The first course, bruschetta with tomato-chickpea ragù, is served with Grimbergen Abbey Beer, the double fermented and exquisitely flavoured Belgian beer first brewed in 1128, while the second course, chicken cacciatore with polenta and root vegetables, is nuanced with Kronenbourg 1664, the premium French beer, aromatic light and citrusy. For dessert, espresso mousse with lady fingers and chocolate sauce is paired perfectly with the delicate local Howe Sound Brewing Rail Ale Nut Brown, a flavourful ale with hints of chocolate, liquorice and a smooth roasted malt finish.

Red Card’s Dine Out Vancouver menu is available for $28, plus $15 per person for beer pairings, (each course will receive a 12 oz glass). For reservations please call 604.689.4460.

Dine Out Vancouver is an annual celebration of local food and BC VQA wine. Presented by Tourism Vancouver, the event sees over 200 restaurants showcase their fare in three-course meals priced at $18, $28 and $38, as well as an array of food events, cooking classes and tours.
