Smoke Break #766: “On The Road” Written By A Popped Collar Bro

lg_5010651_Jack_Kerouac_III

Well, this is terrifying. Jack Kerouac’s classic novel On The Road is currently being rewritten, bit by bit, in a new Tumblr blog penned from the point of view of a bottle service-loving, Ed Hardy-wearing goofwit. A representative excerpt:

A western player of epic proportions, Dean. Although Derek warned me he might be too big a douche, I could hear a new call of partying and see a new badass horizon; and a little bit of fucked-upness or even Dean’s eventual total bro-bandonment of me, punching me in the fucking face, as he would later, in shitty sports bars and Sunglass Huts— but what the fuck did it matter? I was young player and I wanted to get my party on.

Somewhere along the line I knew there’d be hotties, foam parties, everything; somewhere along the line the bottle service would be handed to me.

A must read for kicks. Fittingly, it’s called On The Bro’d.
