Tea & Two Slices: On Campbell’s Exit Fallout & Banana Jackets

IMG_6105

by Sean Orr | More fallout from Gordo’s not-so-surprising resignation: the BCFed say Decade of failed policies will not end with Campbell’s resignation, the Tyee offers A Crown for King Campbell, The Greens tweet Hallelujah!! (no love lost there) and Ethan Baron says, Campbell leaves legacy of child poverty, corporate enrichment, increased gambling and environmental degradation. Being from the internet generation, I think this picture sums up everything.

Meanwhile, everyone else is getting into the act: Environment minister Jim Prentice steps down. Although I don’t think it’s because Canada is now a ‘climate dinosaur’, he probably got some sweet offer from a bank or something.

Metro Vancouver’s natural environment no longer priceless. Hey, maybe there’s another market we can artificially inflate! Or should I say naturally inflate?

Province made an “exceptionally” fast decision on BC Place casino, says NDP critic Spencer Chandra Herbert. Well, when it comes to casinos you don’t want to gamble on public consultation. Hey? I bet you didn’t see that one coming

And now, apropos of nothing, I bring you Banana Jackets! Jackets for your bananas!
