Vancouver, BC | The sun is shining and Le Gavroche is welcoming summer with fresh new menu items and a special $35 sablefish and lobster three-course deal.

On Le Gavroche’s regular menu, new items have been added that celebrate the ingredients of the season. New summer starters include a fresh Gazpacho with Avocado Mousse, Lobster and Grapefruit Salad, and Arugula Salad with Candy Cane Beets, Goat Cheese and Strawberry Vinaigrette. New mains include Pork Tenderloin with Apples and a Bing Cherry Reduction, Smoked Duck Breast with a Fresh Red Berry Reduction, and Wild Salmon with Oven Roasted Tomatoes and a Sweet Pea Risotto. And for dessert, guests can enjoy first-of-the-season Okanagan cherries with a classic Cherries Jubilee with Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. Of course classic Le Gavroche dishes like Caesar Salad, Beef Tartare (both prepared tableside), and Mustard Crusted Lamb Rack are available as well.

For those looking for a great dining deal, until August 31st, Le Gavroche will also be featuring a special three-course sablefish and lobster prix-fixe menu. For a mere $35, guests can enjoy fresh Atlantic lobster and local sablefish in a variety of mouth-watering preparations (full menu below). And because a meal at Le Gavroche wouldn’t be complete without fine wines, guests can treat themselves to expert wine pairings from proprietor Manny Ferreira for an additional $25. Le Gavroche is one of Vancouver’s longest standing fine-dining establishments, offering classical French cuisine in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.

Opened in 1978, the setting of Le Gavroche has charmed Vancouverites and travelers alike and has garnered international attention as one of Vancouver’s most romantic dinner settings. The gently refurbished Victorian house (circa 1910’s) features views of the Coastal Mountains and Coal Harbour from the upstairs terrace, a cozy fireplace for cold winter evenings and a private reception room that can accommodate up to 28 guests.

Now owned by Manuel Ferreira, Le Gavroche continues the traditions it began in 1978: French cuisine executed perfectly. Adopting classic philosophies of utilizing the freshest of local ingredients combined with imported products to complete classical recipes, Ferreira goes back to his European roots and memories from a childhood growing up in Portugal and then France.

Ferreira also brings to Le Gavroche a passion for fine wines. The cellar boasts an inventory of over 35,000 bottles from around the world, with a distinct focus on the regions of Bordeaux and Burgundy. Le Gavroche offers wine selections to meet all palates and budget requirements, from a wide range of half-bottle listings to cellar selections of vintage labels. Recognized in Wine Spectator for eight years, Le Gavroche is a well-known Vancouver jewel for exclusive listings and Ferreira’s expert wine pairings.
