First it was a winter greens salad that was dressed perfectly. it was obvious whoever made it had immense skill.
We followed it up with a spinach ravioli served in a brown butter sauce. It was otherowrldly. Later I looked in the kitchen where they were making the raviolis by hand under the guidance of an older Italian gent.
We returned in late March to find the Italian chef had returned to Italy and someone new was making good but typical bar food. asked our waitress about the ravioli and she told me it was the one dish that got the most complaints from the customers. She was almost apolgising for it.
The truth is I knew it would be over the head of the typical Vancouver hockey fan.

I’ve been twice now and just want to say that the first time was in February on a Saturday afternoon and we had the most fantastic food.
