Vancouver, BC | Le Gavroche’s famous Lobster Festival is back and for the next five weeks guests can enjoy a lobster-packed three-course dinner for only $35 ($10 less than previous years). Set in a historic Victorian house with views of the Coastal Mountains and Coal Harbour, Le Gavroche is the perfect setting to enjoy everyone’s favourite crustacean.

To start, guests will have their choice of Lobster and Grapefruit Salad, Lobster Consommé, or Seared Lobster with Lamb Sweetbreads and Enoki Mushrooms.

For main courses, options include a classic Lobster Thermidor, Lobster and Beef Tenderloin, or Lobster Cavatelli with Smoked Boar Ham and Parmesan Cream.

And finally for dessert, the special menu concludes with a choice of Crème Brulee, or the chef’s daily dessert creation.

A meal at Le Gavroche wouldn’t be complete without fine wines, and guests can treat themselves to expert wine pairings from proprietor Manny Ferreira for an additional $25.

Reservations can be made on OpenTable, or by calling the restaurant at 604.685.3924.

Le Gavroche is one of Vancouver’s longest standing fine-dining establishments, offering classical French cuisine in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.

Opened in 1978, the setting of Le Gavroche has charmed Vancouverites and travelers alike and has garnered international attention as one of Vancouver’s most romantic dinner settings. The gently refurbished Victorian house (circa 1910’s) features views of the Coastal Mountains and Coal Harbour from the upstairs terrace, a cozy fireplace for cold winter evenings and a private reception room that can accommodate up to 28 guests.

Now owned by Manuel Ferreira, Le Gavroche continues the traditions it began in 1978: French cuisine executed perfectly. Adopting classic philosophies of utilizing the freshest of local ingredients combined with imported products to complete classical recipes, Ferreira goes back to his European roots and memories from a childhood growing up in Portugal and then France.

Ferreira also brings to Le Gavroche a passion for fine wines. The cellar boasts an inventory of over 35,000 bottles from around the world, with a distinct focus on the regions of Bordeaux and Burgundy. Le Gavroche offers wine selections to meet all palates and budget requirements, from a wide range of half-bottle listings to cellar selections of vintage labels. Recognized in Wine Spectator for eight years, Le Gavroche is a well-known Vancouver jewel for exclusive listings and Ferreira’s expert wine pairings.
