You never would have thunk it, but pre-Olympics Granville St. is actually beginning to look a little less like a war zone. There are sidewalk installations galore and many of the trees have been loaded up with beautiful lanterns made by – one assumes – local school kids. Very cute. Click through the following photos, taken last night, and maybe worry a little about all the late night drunks stumbling out of bars thinking they’ve found ten thousand piñatas pregnant with a billion candies.
