I like this shot because of what shows in the curled up and quite pleased expressions of the veteran chefs seated on the right. It’s plain how much they appreciate the significance of the moment for diligent Felix Maristany, the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts student who won the Les Clefs D’Or scholarship today at the Chefs Table Society’s annual general meeting. Well done Felix.

    The photo was taken at the Pacific Culinary Institute, which is a stone’s throw from Granville Island.

  6. I used to live in Vancouver, I live in Phoenix Arizona now. Somebody on Twitter put that picture in a link, and I suddenly thought “Hey that looks like the granville street bridge in the background!” I made the comment, and then realized I was reading a site about Vancouver! doh! Way to pay attention there Timmy!
