Weekly Features Inspired by Thorton Park Farmers' Market

News From Scout Supporter Campagnolo

1681Vancouver, BC – Campagnolo kicks summer off on a fresh note thanks to Wednesday-night market features, inspired by nearby Thornton Park farmers’ market. Every Wednesday, Chef Alvin Pillay walks to the market and selects the finest regional and local ingredients available (think rhubarb, peas, asparagus, tomatoes, stinging nettles, corn & strawberries) then returns to the Italian eatery to craft the evening’s unique menu.

Launched June 10 in conjunction with opening day of the Thornton Park farmers’ market, Campagnolo’s first round of market menu features included…

Antipasti – bruschetta with sugar peas, ricotta & preserved lemon $8

Primi – handmade garganelli with garlic scapes, guanciale & pecorino $12

Pizza – Verde – young garlic, collard greens & anchovies $11

Dolce – fresh strawberries & Italian meringue $7.5

These items are a sample of the features offered, which will change every Wednesday.

Bring home some daily fresh made Campagnolo pasta, and have all the ingredients needed to create a delightful lunch or dinner for the following day using local and regional ingredients.

Pastas are priced as follows:
Campagnolo Quadri: 2” x 2” square sheets of pasta
Campagnolo Tagliarini: long, thin noodle pasta
Pastas sell for $4.00 / 180 gram portions (serves 2)
