There was a minor fire during service at Tojo’s last night. I just received the following note from Hidekazu Tojo’s PR man, Nathan Fong:

Due to a minor electrical fire at Tojo’s Restaurant last night, they will be closed today and reopen tomorrow as usual for business from 5:00pm.

This mishap took place during service last night as one of the power boxes overheated in the restaurant’s downstairs electrical room. No one was hurt during the interruption but as Tojo humoured later, ” The first time this has happened and all the seafood is okay…maybe aburi sushi tomorrow night as a special!”
