ABOUT PEMBERTON DISTILLERY

Pemberton Distillery is a boutique distillery set in heart of the snow capped Coast Mountains of British Columbia. Founded in 2008, the distillery is the brainchild of brothers Tyler and Jonathan Schramm, who saw an opportunity to turn Pemberton Valley’s renowned potatoes into high quality vodka.

Like a fine meal, a great spirit has to start with great ingredients and the Pemberton Valley is known for its quality produce, especially its potatoes. We source organic potatoes for our Vodka and Gin from Across the Creek Organics, a fourth generation family farm located just 15km from the distillery. Surrounded by massive ice caps and glacial streams, we are fortunate to have access to some of the best quality water to blend in our spirits.

Our philosophy is to produce fine, authentic sipping spirits that highlight the natural and unique character of the beautiful region from where they come. Our master distiller, Tyler Schramm, trained in distilling sciences at Heriot Watt University in Scotland, a world leader in the field, and all our spirits are slowly batch-distilled by hand in a copper pot still. Making our spirits by hand gives us complete control over the quality and taste of our final product.

We are entirely family owned and operated, passionate about our craft and committed to excellence.

OUR SPIRITS

Schramm Vodka – Schramm is the world’s only organic potato vodka. Handcrafted from locally grown spuds and pristine mountain water, it is a sipping vodka easily enjoyed on its own terms and mixed in fine cocktails. Awarded Double Gold and Spirit of the Year at the World Spirits Awards in Austria.

“Fresh floral aromas with a hint of chocolate and mint emphasize the caramel, coffee and smooth smoky flavours in the clean, warm finish of this artisanal vodka. Serve on the rocks to experience its true taste.” Judith Lane, TASTE Magazine

Schramm Gin – Canada’s first organic Gin. Batch distilled in a copper pot still using 8 organic herbs and botanicals including juniper berries, coriander, orange peel, rosemary and hops grown locally on Jonathan Schramm’s family farm. Traditional dry gin with a bold juniper nose, a fresh earthy floral body and a smooth finish.

Single Malt Whisky – Technically new make spirit until 2013, our single malt whisky is batch distilled in a copper pot still following Scottish tradition. Organic barley is sourced from the Peace River and Salmon Arm regions of BC and malted in Armstrong at the smallest malthouse in North America. Racked into ex-bourbon barrels for aging in September 2010, we will offer tastings at the distillery in 2013 and our first bottling in 2015!

Pemberton Fruit Liqueurs – We handcraft our artisan liqueurs from Pemberton Valley fruits and natural Cariboo honey. Including raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, apple, strawberry and more. Delicious enjoyed on their own over ice or with soda and mixed in cocktails.
